Review

After watching this play I have realised that Romeo and Juliet is generally quite an uninteresting play if you don't get adventurous with it, and so it is important to switch it up. For example in this remake by Branagh the play was done with all characters wearing modern dress which made the play more relatable just from that small aspect. It also made the play much more unique compared to past performances that have been played.

In the very first paragraph there is mention of one is pulled into imagining a very crazy world where the men dressed in Dark suits, and petticoated women. The ways the characters transformed were different to that of the play meaning that the play would be quite interesting due to a different take on it.

It made me reaslise that the way we are doing the play we should maybe exaggerate the characters we play to make the play much more interesting for example how it's said that when Juliet sees romeo she is full of a positively orgasmic ecstacy or Romeo going from self absorbed moper to genuinely inflamed by love.
