Evalutation

Tuesday:

On Tuesday we had to watch and listen to some pieces played by the Music level 2 and 3 students. It was quite interesting watching them play especially watching their facial expressions. There was so much energy in a lot of the songs they had performed and one of the guys who was singing Billy Jean- Michael Jackson was even doing a bit of a dance with his feet to it which everyone thought was cool and made it memorable. The girl who sung stand by me in Spanish was also very talented and put loads of energy into her singing making up for her previous performance at which she got too shy in and didn't do to well. I also really respected the way that the bands played together and the singers were in sync and it really showed me what team work could achieve. All in all I found it to be quite an interesting and profound experience watching them the Music level 2 and 3 perform.





Wednesday:

We had watched the musical Theatre first and they were exceptional in what they had done. They were in sync and worked well as an ensemble. Watching them had reminded me of my childhood when I watched High School Musical and the way they all danced and the music they had danced to replicated the movie. They also had very bright faces and looked quite happy when performing their pieces and one of the pieces they performed was a bit of an acting piece as well which was fun to watch. I had watched the devised piece made by the level 2 acting students which was very well devised and was quite comedic too. I felt as though they had a lot of talent and they worked very well as an ensemble. After that the dance level 3 students had performed some more pieces which were like that of the other pieces. Then we performed out level 3 performance on Romeo and Juliet which I was quite nervous to perform as it was to other kids in college but when I got up there I was in the present and got confident and really owned the stage like it was my own. No one got too shy and backed away from acting and everything went smoothly as usual. In the end the dance students performed their final piece which came up to being around 20 minutes long, but the fact that they could carry as much energy as they did throughout those 20 minutes was very inspiring! All in all it was a very successful day.
