We watched a power point on Stage Management and the different jobs within the topic. We learnt about different roles within this profession such as
SM: Stage Manager (Person who works on organizing the rehearsal times for the actors and also watch over the crew backstage, monitoring them. They also use ideas from the stage crew)
DSM: Deputy Stage Manager ( They have the prompt book and they are in charge of cues and making sure everything runs smoothly)
ASM: Assistant Stage manager (Moving props around the stage, and putting spiked tape on the floor to mark where doors or other items would go, and also handle individual props)
In the power point we had also watched numerous YouTube videos showing us productions such as:

We watched scene which contained actions such as dancing, singing and changes in scenes (beats) and we could hear the DSM talking on the headset making sure instructions were going through to other backstage technics by saying Fx1 stage by Fx1 go (commanding the lighting). This was quite interesting and I found it unexpected how smoothly and complex everything behind the scenes are. It reminded me of that annotation of the ice burg which is what can be scene but under it is a lot of complicated material behind the scenes. We had also watched videos on what SM DSM and ASM are which is the source of my info above.
